Viking Sword 

Northern Europe, 9 / 10th century. 

Width double-edged sword, both sides with shallow fullers in it on one side of the paper loaded in iron inscription “+ VLFBEHRT *”. Short, slightly curved guard and pommel with a two-part worked fine, ornamental silver inlay. Strong, slightly conical Angel. 

Length 95 cm. 

Provenance. German private collection, 90s.
